The game starts when the Alroval Empire invades the titular Miden Tower. This leads to the mages that dwell there being cornered and helpless in their own home. This leads to a counteroffensive being launched to reclaim the tower back and get revenge for those that were lost.
From there, the story revolves around a young man called Valen who is determined to kill the Imperial soldiers who killed those he loved during that invasion. He is accompanied by a magical being called Leila, who has a goal of her own, to lead Valen down a different path so that he doesn’t completely lose himself in a maddened hunt for vengeance.
The gameplay itself will see players tackling 3v3 grid-based battles where they can buff their adjacent allies with a variety of abilities. There will be several skills at their disposal, allowing them to summon golems amongst a variety of other magical feats. On top of that, there are over 100 passive skills to acquire in and out of battle to make your characters stronger.
The game has launched with controller support so if you prefer to play your mobile games that way you can do so here. However, seeing as the gameplay is mostly turn-based and then walking around an overworld it should be more than fine using touch controls.
Miden Tower is available now on the App Store and Google Play. It’s a premium title that costs $7.99 and $8.99 for iOS and Android respectively and also offers further IAPs.
